Different Stories (2018) 28′

for orchestra

3.3.3.3 – 4.3.3.1 – Timp – 3Perc – Harp – Pf/Cel – Strings

Different Stories is composed of five movements, each offering a unique sonic narrative. The piece includes morning music, “Aubade,” and evening music, “Nocturne,” which are interspersed between two refrains. Throughout the movements, recurring motifs, such as a breathing theme, create connections between the movements. While the music is narrative in nature, it does not follow a specific program; the interpretation of the stories is left to the listener’s imagination.
