Ørjan Matre continues as composer-in-residence and is featured in seven concerts, including Tabita Berglund’s first performance as chief conductor. The season also includes new concertos for Hans-Kristian Kjos Sørensen (percussion) and Ragnhild Hemsing (violin/hardanger fiddle), a return of Lyric Pieces, and a performance of Matre’s first orchestral work, Attempted Birdhouse 2.1 (2003).
